Within this project a service oriented architecture for intelligent distributed embedded systems is being developed. The human will be integrated into the production process equipped with modern tools for an intuitive interaction with the machines.
The aim of OSIRIS is to develop a crisis management system providing the appropriate environmental information and services to decision-makers. An open architecture will be constituted for smart and interoperable networks in risk management based on in-situ sensors. Specific key environmental issues are resource management, environment protection, disaster prevention and the implementation of European obligations.
RoboTOOL is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Within the project a flexible and optimized system for different manufacturing processes is being developed. One key aspect is the design of a communication structure with hierarchical communication space and management for a secure exchange of information between worker, robot and manufacturing environment.
